Guys,
I have a chirruping noise from the front of the engine. Particularly noticable at idle. I think it's the serpantine belt tensioner pulley with a failing bearing.
I can prise the pulley back and forth with a screwdriver against the body of the unit.
Am I in the ballpark with this diagnosis?

Remove the belt and spin the pulley. If there is wobble or drag you found your problem. With the belt off spin each of the pulleys and check for wobble or friction. If nothing is determined then check your crank sensor for possible contact with the reluctor ring.

It's easy enough to pull off. Bearing should be available at local parts store for about $5.00. I just discovered mine was bad when I pulled the alt to rebuilt it (and replace bearings too...) One of them looked exactly like the pulley bearing...

If I get the part number I'll post it.
