Soooooooooo. Now all of a sudden my belt tensioner is beginning to jump a bit, I suspect it's on it's way out ,
So I have read that you can change the bearing internally but does that solve the jumping issue? Or is that for squeeling ?

You input please
Thanks

Unless the bearing is disintegrating, it should only be for the "squeal". Remove the belt and rotate the idler by hand, you will feel the bad ball/s. If disintegrated, the chips will try to stop the rotation. Typically, it's the spring becoming too weak.
