that was my problem with gbodyparts, i needed a 70mm plenum so before i ordered i called and asked if they had it in stock (in stock being the key words) and they said they did. i called back a couple days later and asked if it had shipped yet and they said that they were drop shiped from precision and that he would get me some tracking information. so right after i talked to them i called precision and it turns out there on back order for about 6 weeks:mad: i needed that part to go to woodward. now i need to port my stock one to 70mm which i DIDNT want to do
I think a lot of their stuff is drop-shipped from their suppliers. If a particular supplier who usually has something in stock neglects to let GBody know they are on back-order with a certain item, then GBody will think it's in stock. I'm not saying that's what occurred in your situation. But it's not outside the realm of possibilities.

As far as good vendors I've used over the last 9 months since I've had the car, the list is kinda long and I will probably forget someone unintentionally. But here goes...

GNS Performance
TR Custom Parts
GBodyParts
Kirban Performance
RJC Racing & Arizona GN
SE Turbo
World Of Motorworks
N O S 4 G N . c o m
TurboTweak
Full Throttle
Boze Forged Wheels
AlkyControl (Razor)
Rick Hunt (X-Ray)

And a long list of members here I have bought stuff from like 1KWIK6, TURBOV6, Just One 87, sr-71 and a long list of others I know I am forgetting.

ALL have been top notch.

Good experiences:
KIRBAN <---- the best
Cotton
Full Throttle
Turbo Tweak
ALKY CONTROL
PTE
David Husek
TA Performance
RJC
& many members here

Only Bad experiences:
gbodyparts, 2 orders, both nightmares, never again

KIRBAN - super nice people, actually care.
COTTON - great deals, willing to talk and help you, good guy
TURBO TWEAK - great product, great support, good communication.
ALKY CONTROL - great product, great support, good communication.
GBODY - they can mess up your order, but they can also do a great job and be a good help... its hit or miss honestly.

FULL THROTTLE - I spent most of my money here and regret it. Sorry Mike, but you can be a real D!ck and you always sound annoyed when helping someone. The parts are good, the shipping is fast, I just don't like Mike's customer service on the phone.
Mostly everybody else loves him. Deal with him internet only and you'll be happy.

(it felt good to let that out, I can now that I'm getting rid of my car! LOL)

Vendors I've always had good service with:
Full Throttle
Kirbans
Turbo Tweak
Brian Hofer
TR Custom Parts
Pats Converters
Alkycontrol
TA Performance
Weber Racing
Cottons
RJC
Racetronix
Gyrhead and sons (when they used to be in business)
John's Performance (when they used to be in business also)

A couple of guys worth mentioning even though they're not supporting vendors here are GN1 Performance and n o s 4 g n. com. They were top notch with me as well.

I've used:

GBodyparts. Slow shipping a few times but always got the right stuff, and good quality stuff.

FullThrottle. Bought a few things from them ever since they were Modern Muscle. Never had a negative experience.

Cotton's. Bought a few things from them. Again never a bad experience.

Excessive Acceleration. Where I have bought 99% of my stuff in the last 4 years. What other vendor will take your call at 1 AM;)

Hartline Performance, Kirbans, Gbody parts, RJC, Full Throttle. Ive always had great experiences with everyone of these vendors. Even back in the day Poston was good too.

Speaking of great customer service, I recently ordered a PTC 10" 2800 stall from Holly and Cal at Hartline Perf. My debit card has a daily limit of $300, so I said I would send a check in the mail. I called Holly she placed the order and before I knew it I had a torque converter on my doorstep that I haven't paid for yet! I called her and she said no problem just get a check in the mail when you can! She wasn't worried about it. This day and age that is totally awesome they place alot of trust with us in the Buick community. Needless to say I airmailed them the check for the converter overnight.

I can't say enough about Cal and Holly @ Hartline performance.

You guys forgot to mention Casper's electronic's & Nos4gn both of them are also great vendors to deal with

By the way in my eye's by far the worse vendor i have ever delt with was  GN1Performance

Probably not politically correct but, here goes...

Good experiences:
TurboTweak
Full Throttle
Aggressive Auto
TA Performance
NOS 4 GN
Kirban (had a few minor issues even got banned from the "inner circle") Still excellent selection and quick shipping.

Bad:
Gbody- (has lots of parts I'd buy but the customer service was so bad that ...well, never again...)

Aggresive Auto

I'm not sure if they are vendors here but Aggressive Auto really sucked. It took over a couple of months to get a turbo from them, then when I got it the WG actuator was bent and the compressor housing had marks all over it. Then when I tried to talk to the owner he was always out . Needless to say, If they were the last Buick vendor out there, I would just sell me car.

Where is this Aggressive Auto located?

I've always had good luck with gbody. Especially odd-ball stuff. If I can't find what i'm looking for I pm Brian and he always has it. I've never had a problem.

NOS4GN always good stuff and good conversation with Glenn. And really fast shipping. I usually get tracking #s within a few hours.

I also got a tranny from Bruce at PTS Extreme and am very happy with it.

Crap! I forgot Casper's on my list. They are a great vendor as well. John is VERY nice and takes time to explain things to dummies like me. :)

Jim Bell @ Kenne-Bell is the best; just ask him. So good; he won't even talk to us Buick types anymore.

I can call out there and get Jim on the phone any time I want. FYI they arent in the Buick business anymore so thats probably why you have trouble getting him on the phone.
