What is the best Backspacing for 9"x15" rims on the rear with no chance of rubbing the frame rail with 275 or 295 wide tires and NOT use spacers?

Since stock GN's wheels are 4" I'm guessing 4" or 3.75".
I run 275/50/15 now with stock rims and have to use spacers, no issues with the lip and have plenty of clearence there.

Well the rims I wanted cannot be made in 15x9, but they can do 15x9.5
So with a 15x9.5 rim, I guessing that 4-4.25" BS is most I should have??

I'm running a 15 X 8.5 rear wheel with a 4" backspace and 295/50 tires. This combo gives me roughly 3/8" clearance between the frame rail and tire.

Well, Americanracing finally got back to me, and the guy that we talked to Saturday was mistaken, I can't get the wheel I wanted in a 9" or 9.5", only comes in 8" and 10"....8" I feel is too small and 10" is too big....
So I'm going to go with a different wheel in 15x8.5" the same size you have with probably a 3.75" BS to give me a little more clearence.
The tires on there now have about 3/8" cleanence on one side and about 1/2" on the other and the one side rubs a little in sharp turns.

i would say go half the width of the rim and that usually works out for me- 8.5" rim- 4.25 bs, 9" rim-4.5" bs, 10" -5" bs but not all cars sit on the frame the same.
