Wasn't sure the best forum for this, but what seems to be the best replacement carpet for the GN??? I'm going to rip out the roll cage (and these lousy VDO gauges) over the winter and will need a new carpet set.

I have since learned over the last few years that VDO's (for the most part) have NO internal voltage compensation circuits (sort like a voltage regulator/stabalizer), like most other top of the line electric gauges have.
Even small changes in the voltage supplied to my VDO's causes some pretty drastic changes in readings. I can watch the voltage change on the scanmaster (due to changing loads, etc.) and the water temp gauge will shoot up into the 240's with the drop in voltage. The lower the supply voltage the higher the water temp gauge reads!!!
Funny thing is, the oil pressure gauge moves in the opposite direction with voltage feed changes.
