what is the purpose for the billet front covers? and when would one be needed?

SignUp Now!For you I'd probably do a 10" l/u. It's in the price range your looking for and it will retain lock-up. The non lock is the nicest piece but it's more pricey and more for guys who prefer track over street.

Ok i see theer are two on the PTC website that i think u may be refering too. 10" Street Torque Converter and 10" Race Torque Converter, what r the differences between the two? or am i lookin at the wrong ones? sorry for all the questions![]()

Billet front cover is needed when dealing with high hp like turbo mustangs and Ls1's. If a Buick makes that much power your much better off with the non lock.....700+ would be a good idea of when to look at the billet cover option.
As you can tell, the PTC website is not that great. It will be a 10" and would be similiar to their street or super street line.
