I am having my TTA engine rebuilt and am considering having a girdle installed. I have heard both ways, also was wondering if there are any problems getting a girdled engine in a TTA, space wise. And last but not least Who makes the best girdle, strength wise not ease of installation.

Will the RJC girdle work, in general how long does it take for them to machine one and send it.

Brad,

Did you get rid of the T? I don't think any girdle will work on the TTA due to clearance. Many of the mods that you can do on a Regal will be impossible or a nightmare on the TTA. The Regal is a better platform IMO for mods. It requires some work to do a girdle and about $400-$500 in fitment/work to get it on.

No , still have the turbo T. I saw this TTA for sale by my uncles house in NH and as luck would have it I was making a trip up there all ready to help put his boat in the water. I drove it home from NH. My father now drives the Turbo T and the TTA is in the shop. I think the cost of putting a Girdled engine in the car is going to cost more than building another engine if I blow this one. Billit mains with studs should take care of the bottem end.
