I am in store for replacing my rear cover, and was wondering which is the best (girdled) rear cover? I was looking at the TA Performance covers, but I dont believe that they come with the magnet? Which covers come with the magnet?

I would vote TA as well.

Nice piece, and supporting a vendor that supports Buick products.

I would assume no stand alone magnet cause it is aluminum.

I just got one, and it is a very nice piece. Too bad it's kinda hard to see unless you're under the car.

Ok, I think thats what im going to get..Is it part # TA 1807? Also, would this small magnet on the drain plug be as effective as the much bigger magnet on the stock cover? Im guessing it would be too small and not as good as picking up metal shavings as the stock one...

You must really be worried about shavings in your gear oil. If thats such a concern, JB Weld a bigger one to the inside of the cover.

I have an LPW. Probably the same but different name on it. If I remember it was just a little cheaper. Mine is a girdle.

Make sure to get the Stud Kit as well with the cover. Much better than bolts for the few $$ it costs.

Exactly...if you're concerned about having a larger magnet then you have bigger problems to deal with than a new cover...the one on the drain plug is more than adequate...

Ok, TA it is then...Im not worried at all about metal shavings as this rear that I got is in great shape...

T\A all the way.
