OK maybe Im just dense, but I looked all through gnttype and this site and still couldn't find a part number for a good replacement O2 sensor...

So whats the best one, who makes it, and a part number would be nice too!:D

Thanks!

Denso is known to be a little more race fuel tolerant than the stock one.
Denso # 234-1001

I've run 111 race gas on a bosch for two years with no probs...lotsa people don't like them though.

Denso is more resistant to lead, which is in race gas, but if you dont run race gas, Bosch is the only way to go. The Bosch one has been on my car for 50,000 miles and is still working great. The main reason to use a Bosch is that the O2 crosscounts are WAY more active than the denso. This means far better control of fueling than the denso gives. They say the O2 crosscounts should cycle from 0-255 within 90 seconds. My denso cycled betwen 90-120 seconds, while my Bosch cycles in about 10-15 seconds...and this is at idle! I think some people have had bad luck with some O2 sensors, because they werent careful enough. The internals of O2 sensors are very delicate. If you so much as tap the sensor against metal, or tap it with the wrench too hard, or it gets smacked when it gets layed down. it wont perform as it should. I saw an improvement of about 2mpg with the Bosch one as well.

DENZO is what I put in my car alky eats Bosch O2's for lunch!I also run race gas quite abit and in 2 seasons of beating on the car and also the way rich issue I just had do to a bad Maf its still going strong! and its not heated!

DENZO is the way to go if you ask me there a little more $$ But will out last all the others out there.

Like I said, if you dont plan on running leaded race gas, Bosch is the way to go. The denso I had lasted about 3000 miles, and the activity was always pretty weak from day 1. The bosch cycles through O2 counts extremely fast, which is always good for fuel trim control.
And its Denso by the way.
Theres nothing about alky that will harm an O2 sensor. It can only be from damage to the internals. One smack with a wrench, or setting it down too hard...anything...it will either not work right from the get go, or it will go bad very soon. Ive been running alky for 2 years, and I drive 70 miles a day. 50,000 miles later, with alky and 23psi, my Bosch is still working great. If you arent extremely gentle with the sensor during installation, it wont last. And that goes for any brand of sensor you get.
