Need your opinions. Getting a new turbo and an smc alky set up. Going to keep boost set at about 22-23 #'s, probably all the time. Which turbo would give me the best performance on the street & at track with stated boost and the following combo?.....I'm guessing the GT6776BB?.....................Thanks

1987 GN: TE45A Garret Turbo (currently on car), ported Champion aluminum heads, 1.55 roller rockers, 60 # Injectors, Turbo Tweak chip, ATR roller cam, RJC power plate, Kenne Bell 70mm throttle body and 70mm plenium, Kenne Bell fmic, ported intake, Delta 2 external wastegate with a RJC hybrid boost controler, LS1 maf sensor and the maf translator for it, ATR stainless headers and 3in. ATR stainless downpipe w/3in dual stainless exhaust, larger cross-over pipe, ram air, blow off valve, Built 2004R Trans with 3000 stall converter and two trans coolers, 2 billet center caps, double roller timing chain, two remote oil filters (one for engine and one for the turbo), high output oil pump, external engine oil cooler, aluminum radiator with dual fans, 160 thermostat, dual hot wired in-tank fuel pumps (2 pumps), adjustable fuel pressure regulator, adjustable upper and billet lower control arms, KYB shocks, air bags in both rear springs, line lock, volt blaster, Nitto 555R 275/50R 15's currently on the rear, light weight Centerline wheels, scan master, egt meter, front upper & lower body braces, front sway bar removed, rear trunk X bracing kit.

Wow nice setup! Sounds like you can handle the 67! I would go with it... Even with the BB you will probably need some custom tuning on your chip for spooling on the street.

What are your goals?

Might be the new 65 stuff would be a great fit as well espically with the converter....

Thanks for the reply. I would like to be able to run in the 10's with 22-23 psi. Getting an HR sway bar as well, so that should help with the launches. Bad thing is that they closed the track around where I live (Charleston, SC area) . I mainly do car shows but want to be able to spank Rustangs or what not when needed. No "GN" shops around, so I'll have to tune carefully by myself. :)

Hmm, maybe Patrick will chime in here:biggrin:

The 67 likes more boost, ask me how I know:eek:

Maybe the new 62-65's might be the ticket...
You want something that is optimum in that range of boost. 67's seem to like 26-30 IMO...

What part of SC are you in?

We are right off of the 95 and 40 intersection in NC!

Have not gone to the track on the new motor but really like the 6776BB
It replaced a TE44 on the old motor same injectors 60's and ALKY.
Nitto 275/50-15 on 10" rims for the street
Holding the 255/60-15 MTDR's for later:tongue:

I live in the Charleston area. How far from the boarder of NC and SC is that intersection of 95 and 40?
