Best turbo for the street???

Going to be putting the car back to closer to stck form. I'm looking for the best street turbo. Least amount of lag, and get me into the mid to high 11's. So I guess I'm looking for turbo, converter, inj. combos. You guys want to help out a little? My thoughts were TA49, 009's ,and 2800 stall. The rest of my combo will be pretty stock. Stock engine club 210-205 cam, stock heads, Alky, And the rest of the junk. Any thoughts would be great!

Do you want to do this on radials and meth or slicks and meth?


With slicks

Stock turbo
Stock injectors
Stock intercooler

THDP,Single shot,lockup convertor,27x10 Hoosiers, TT chip, Razors Meth

I am sure you have the downpipe,exhaust,and meth kit.





With radials

TA-49, orange crush 3000 convertor or D-5, RJC boost controller,ported upper and lower intake,RJC or Hemco, stock throttle body cleaned up, solid maf pipe,1 screen removed from stock MAF,big neck stock IC.

Get some rear suspension parts put on that bad boy!

I should have also noted that you should do a ported upper and lower intake either way you decide to take this.
Just do all the little things.
I noticed that you are looking for a short/long block, if the heads are off, port match the intake sides to the ported intake, same with the headers.
Im sure you already knew all that :biggrin:
