I have some nice ones that i would like to make look new again.
Anybody know the secret? Thanks and Peace WildBill

Eagle MAG Wheel Cleaner. $5 a bottle at Chez Manny Moe & Jack (Pep Boys) or Autozone. This is the stuff where the back label says "wear gloves and eye protection", and they mean it. Spray it on, wait a couple of minutes, scrub with a stiff scrub brush, then rinse.

Good luck!

Eagle One Etched (Etching) wheel cleaner. The pic on the bottle looks almost exactly like T wheels. Spray on, wait 30 seconds, spray off. Mine looked like CRAP until I used this stuff. It's the ****!

Thanks Guys, i'll try the EAGLE brand cleaner on one of my spares and i will also look at the thread in the archives.

BUT, the only problem with this approach is that it kinda screws up the polished or satin finish on the outer rim. It's almost impossible to keep it from dripping down - just giving you an FYI. I mean, I use the same stuff so it's not like I have a better solution. I have found that even with a good brush, it's impossible to get them brandy new looking unless you use the etching stuff.

I have a NOS set of wheels for my WE4 that I've never mounted. I think I'mm going to have them clear coated or something because even though the etching works, it does take a toll on the rest of the wheel.

its easy to keep the polished outer rim and spokes.

here's what ya do:

sprey that eagle stuff on there, it will make the rims look CLEAN but it will get rid of the polished surfaces..

SO, take a brillo pad and grind on those polished surfaces until the oxidation from the eagle stuff comes off. makes em look great. the harder you grind the better they come out.

Interesting...I'll have to try the brillo on the polished surfaces.........never tried that..

Send em over here for a powdercoating! Almost chrome or clear when they are clean and will stay looking like new!

Intercooler,
What would you guys get to do the inner mesh (black) on a set of GNX wheels? They are currently gold. Thanks!
Rob:)

DOES THIS EAGLE ONE STUFF TURN THE WHEEL WHITE LIKE ALOT OF THE ACID CLEANERS DO? OR DOES IT CLEAN THE WHEEL AND KEEP IT THE FACTORY ALLUMINUM COLOR? ALSO DOES IT SRTIP OFF THE FACTORY CLEAR COAT OR IS THIS STUFF CLEAR COAT FRIENDLY?................THANKS:)
