I am thinking about getting a set. 235/60 for my 15x8 draglites. How well do these things hook up? For those that have them, how much of a burnout do you have to do? Any info on these is appreciated.

with 15x8, 3.5" backspace?

You can most likely run a 275/50 or 275/60 if you want.

I have cut numerous 1.7's and no slower than a mid 1.8 in my last dozen or so passes on my 235/60 BFG DR's at 16psi (100% stock suspension...no airbags).
My process is simple...

1. Roll through the water box (you have to at Atco)
2. Stomp the brake and start 'em spinning
3. When I see smoke in my driver's side mirror, I let off the brake and feather the throttle until I feel them biting.
4. Roll to the line...stage at 5psi

That's it. It's been my experience that they hook best with a nice burnout. I have about 3-4k on these tires. They're getting pretty bald, but I should make it through until July/August with them and another 1-2k.

With my old set-up, I had run 275/50/15's for years with great success! I had a best of 1.57 60 ft times with them with a stock convertor and a mid 11 second (just bolt ons) setup. I have had a pair on my GSX also for years and those are just my street tires, for cruisin'. They are steel belted so you don't have to worry about flats. I think they are the BEST for multi use street and strip. Paul

i had the 75's on and they hooked really good, also gave it the hot rod look out back too bad they only lasted about 2-3 months :( too many burnouts :D ;)

235/15/60 on stock rims, 1.85 60ft, 21 psi both tires,airbag pass side strip15lb street 7lb :)

Thanks for all your replies. I have 275/60 on 15x8 3.5" B.S. Draglites. I have both airbags installed but the tires rub way too much whenever i hit bumps. The whole side of both tires is torn up. It looks terrible. I will just go with the 235/60 BFG Drag Radials and soon i'll buy a set of 245/60 Radial TA's for the street. Thanks a lot guys. I'll let yall know how they work out for me!!
