OK hear we go again. In the spring I posted the following post!!

BG Nationals - "Quickest Ever" - Sponsor Needed!!

I've tried to work out a match race deal with the Galina/Freeman team and for obvious reasons to me , they have declined. Then, I tried to workout a deal with the GSCA and they won't change the rules for the quick 16. Both Ron Joseph and Richard Lasseter are excited to have me make exhibition passes at this event , and Richard has expressed interest in featuring my car in the GSX-Extra, but he can't let me race in the Quick 16!!!

Here is the bottom line! I can't afford the expenses required to just show up at this race, with no chance whatsoever of winning any money! Anyone that may consider sponsoring me , or helping me out in any way with my expenses!! I will guarantee you that I will make the quickest and fastest pass ever made by a Buick powered vehicle at the GS nationals. This would be a chance for both the Buick community to witness a new record for the event , and my chance to be considered among the "FASTEST BUICK POWERED VEHICLES ON THE PLANET".

A number of you offered help or sponsorship. Since so much time has passed and many things have changed for everybody , I will start this all over , with no obligation from anyone that offered their help in the spring. Right now my engine is torn up, but I could have it back together for this race. If I can get help with expenses to get there I will bring it. Nothing has changed with the GSCA involvement. I believe that we could possibly run 6.50's to 6.60's given the right conditions and would love to do so at this race!! Mike

Mike, I dont have a job and havent had one for the most part of this year but I'd gladly donate to help you get there. You deserve it more than anybody on this website and I owe you soooo much for everything that you have done for me. Is there a place that we can send a paypal or an address to send a check for a donation?


I'm very ashamed that our community makes things so difficult for you. If these organizers would realize what your car can bring to these events, thhey be ahead by far. All the Buick events are getting smaller and smaller, we need to get more big dogs out there to make the events more "eventfull."

Update!! We have decided to pull the plug on bringing the dragster to the GS nationals. We will save it for next year!! Thanks to those that offered their help or support!! We plan to be there with Jim Rocks car to shoot for the quick 16 race. Thanks Mike
