We took the car out to test n tune last night mainly to test the new shifter out. Everything worked perfect and we ended up nearly running our best 1/8 mile ET ever , and did run our fastest MPH ever.
We are ready!! And we are coming!! So bring your sponsorship package to BG as I will need it!! Attached is our tickets for the 2 runs. Mike

Curious why you dont run the whole 1/4 or was track shutdown too small?

I dont quite have the tune Im looking for to stretch it out for one. secondly this track is pretty short , 10 years ago with this car I could stop at 163 in the 1/4 but anything over that was scary. At 165+ it would not stop without the chute without going off the end of the track (been there done that a number of times). I will be sneeking up on the 1/4 at BG until I feel confident that the motor will make it , and I can safely get stopped!! Mike

Beer and pretzels? How about a fresh set of spark plugs? I may not be as fast as Gallina's program but if we could both get down the track I think it would still be the fastest ever side by side Buick powered race:biggrin:
I've changed so much stuff on mine it will be like starting over with a new car - I hope it all works! We were going to go out for some testing this weekend but the weather has squashed that so it looks like it'll be getting the shake down at BG.
My 5 year old son is all about dragsters right now. It would be interesting to see if he rooted for the dragster or his old man if the two lined up side by side!

Im basically in the same boat as you as far as needing testing , just as it sits right now my boat may be faster. But its the tortus? and the hair , Im not sure I can make it a full 1/4 mile pass. I will probably take mine out next week also to work on lowering my exhaust temps. Right now there right at 1200deg at the 660' and that may not work for the 1/4.
Bring your son over and we will warm the car up sometime with him in it!! That way Ill defenetly have at least one supporter!!

Yeah - at least we're in the same boat as far as testing. We've changed transmissions and converters, new boost control system, new engine combo and completely redesigned the electronic controls. It all seems to work on the lift so if it can put it to the pavement we'll be in business. My plan is to exceed the current chassis certification with this car and then either build a new chassis or go 10.5 or TSO racing. :biggrin:
