Saw Bison's recent post on the TB results and got to thinking - I basically got this trans for free today.

I have seen all the other tags I thought existed - we know the names; BR-F; BR-Q!; KZ, KC, CZ etc.
The blue caught my attention at first.

But not familiar with this one.
Donor:
87 Cutlass.
305 something V-8

Any value?
As in keeping it - not trying to fish around to sell it unless someone is in need of something.

You can decider the character string on your trans. The later the year model the more updated the internal pieces are from the factory. Bearing in the planet instead of plastic bushing, hard stator, and hard Sun shell. Stuff like that in later trans.

Free is good! I would hang onto it for a core, or just spare parts that you just might need later. A lot of these got put into taxis (for the OD and good mileage) and there are not as many around as there used to be...

I have never seen that code as of yet.

I know - me either Chris
Which is what got me intrigued
The blue color caught my eye - thinking perhaps lady luck was smiling
I see alot of yellows KT-F; and usually say - meh
And when I googled TH200-4R BH-B - I got - nada.

Are you sure that's a 200 4-r? All of them from 1984 up tmk have the letter" F" on the tag which identifies it as "200-4R". 1983 and earlier will just have the 2 letters like "B" on one side and "R" on the other side with no "F". B isn't a 200-4r. The color of the tag should indicate the year.

THM200? - perhaps then?
Definitely not a 350
I'll go look more closely today
Donor car is 87 - but that means nothing. Thanks for the feedback

Not a 2004r look at the tail shaft. Looks like 200c 3 speed.

Pan_id.jpg

What does the pan look like?
Looks like a broken mounting pad.
Check the servo cover if it is a 200. Might be sportin one of the big ones that are hard to find.
Piston -> Cover
8628112 -> 8628134
8628111 -> 8628133
