Instead of going to external and keeping my expensive th sytle dp custom built. I was wondering if I could get a larger puck for the dp. I currently have a 31.2 mm puck or 1.23 " in diameter.

Call MPE or ATR, I believe they use a 1.5 inch puck.

Then open the hole to around 1.1 and your good. ;)

If MPE means mease performance. I called keith and hes doesn't have any. He is telling me my 1.23 puck is plenty big enough. Its the wastegate actuator of the F250 deisel and my grainger valve controler that are causing the problems. He said to get a heavy duty wastegate act and a inovative boost controler and my problems will be solved. I might have to weld the hole up a little even to get rid of my boost vanishing problem. The controller is $649. I really don't want to spend that much on a controller. I know ramchargers sells one for $149. But its not a stand alone and I would have to get another custom burnt chip to get my factory boost control back.

The BSTC is stand alone.

I used one with single and dual solenoids when using my Maxeffort chip which had zero boost solenoid code and needed a stand alone setup.

Just leave the BSTC switch on all the time TPS set low to about 1.2 volts and hook it up to IGN power in the fuse box.

Controls boost just like a chip, only you use the knob.

Actually much better than most chips. :)

I don't want to spend that much on a boost controller though. I think if I got my factory boost control back and used dual solenoids I think it would be just as affective. I just wouldn't have the fine tunning like the innovative witch is fine by me because I drive this mostly on the street.

The BSTC I am talking about is the one that Ramchargers sells for $149. :)

I would not spend $600 on a boost controller!!!

I have one for $16 off ebay that is on my GN and all my other turbo cars and is dead on every time. And, its been up to 26 psi with no prob.

The only reason I see you needing a bigger puck is if you plan on running a low amount of boost on you PT67. If you plan on running 15 or 16 psi and up, you should be ok. If you have probs, you might just have to sell your DP and get an ATR or Houston with the bigger pucks.

If you are having problems with keeping the boost, get a new 14 psi actuator and you will be alright. If you plan on running 18psi and more all the time, get the stiffer one.

ATR has a 1.5" puck but will not sell. They do not make a ATR internal or houston for and 84-85.
Talked to limit yesterday and a stock actuator is 17pds. He has a 8# actuator that might just work if it pysically fits. I am going to try that and probably have a bigger puck made at a machine shop.
