Hey guys,
I'm helping a friend with a T type and he's trying to upgrade his fuel pump and I can talk him into a external pump so what it the biggest and baddest intank fuel pump you can get?

The Bosch 044 appears to fit if you ditch the sock and use the internal filter in it to clear the bowl.

The Supra is the next cost effective pump and fits with very little effort with the sock.

if you want a no hassle drop in tank pump. Red Armstrong's XP in tank pump can not be beat. it is good enough to get a full weight car to the mid 10s comfortably.

red's number is hard to find sometimes so here it is
Quad Air
440-235-3232

second that. should be enough fuel for 150mph with stock lines.

WOW!!! The stock lines are only .257" at every Saginaw fitting. (filter ect.) How many guys have done this? I feel that most guys run way too much fuel line than they really need, though. -6AN will feed over 750hp at 65psi gasoline, but a 1/4" line is a bit on the scary side for 800hp?

I have personally gone 142 with no signs of the rail depleting of pressure.

Red Armstrong has gone 151

I drilled out the line at each junction to as large as i could. to eliminate the restrictions. easy thing to do.

Been doing it for years with a stock fuel line.

Reds double pumper is probably best "plug & play".

Search Supra/Denso fuel pump on board & someone was experimenting with 2 supra pumps.

The single Supra/Denso was was a PITA, but I did get it in.

I've always wondered how fast a stock fuel system was capable of running. Thanks for the info. Alot of guys run a -10AN at those power levels. Kinda overkill. BUT........too much fuel is not enough.;)

But having problems reaching 70psi of fuel pressure with 25psi of boost(extender chip-- 45psi set point)

Maybe but most who have a $15+k engine wouldnt risk going over 135mph without modifying the lines as you described. Even then you still need to increase very slow on the boost and watch the duty cycle. Most cant go over 135mph with #1 getting hot

Jason , can you explain drilling out both ends? Is there a taper on the inside of the tubing to restrict flow? Thanks

What's the performance limit for a/my stock fuel pressure regulator (converted to adjustable w/ kit)?? I'm getting a little skittish w/ my "stocker" & need to know if I should be...TIA for help...

The biggest and baddest in-tank is the Apexi BNR32 (404A011) or BNR33 (404A010). It puts out 72 gph at 70 psi (45 base plus 25 boost) at 13.5 volts, thats 864 hp (BSFC=0.5) . It will require fabrication work to get it in. By comparison, the Denso -1020 is 62 gph at those same conditions. The Bosch 040 is the in-tank (044 is external) and is 53 gph at the same point.
