whats the biggest turbo i can run using a stock stall convertor and still get the turbo to spool? thanks jerrad

TE-60, maybe a pt51, or a pt52. If you use the brake to build boost, a TE-62 or a PT54 will work, but roll on throttle will take a while. Street or strip?

Totally stock.No restall. te44/Ta49 w /a RJC boost controller.(mines in the mail).

The ta49 for me has been a little monster in cool weather. I am taking it to the track this time with the converter locked and more boost. Last outing is in sig. w/24psi boost. stock longblock,intercooler,TB,stall,suspension,93 octane.

IMHO you've got enough to be knocking on the mid 12's, so a 44 or 49 should be enough to get you into the 11's.

GO BIG, you really do not want to buy a turbo every other month. You will get addicted to boost, and a big turbo is fun. Trust me. I am already done with my TE-61, I should have listened to myself and got a 45GTQ or bigger. Wanna buy a 3month old TE-61?
