"Biggie" Oil Filter Adapter Install.

Can anyone tell me what size nut that stock adapter is. The one I got from RJC is a simple 1inch. But the stock one in there is much bigger. (it figures!)

Also,it's not left hand thread,is it? The thread in the new adapter looks right hand. My guess is it's in there at 1,000ft lbs.

Stock is normal right is tight & should be about 20 lbs or maybe 25 lbs from memory?

t's been a long time, but it might be an inch and a quarter.

Got it! It was 1 1/8. In desperation,I looked over at my 70 yr old landlords mixed-up toolbox in the garage space next to me. There was a 1 1/4 there on top. Too big. I fished around on top and found an old 1 1/8 SK.

Never in 15yrs have I touched that toolbox. He always said that if I ever need anything...

This time I did. I sure feel guilty about it tho.

I didn't buy my scoot like that. It has been an ever changing work in progress since '84 when I got it as a rolling basketcase. Lots of tinkering,thinking,parts-making,send out for plating.. It's a 100LL drinking,S&S internal,magneto equipped,kickstart only..handful! "If you ain't man enuff to start it. ..you ain't man enuff to ride it!"

It has since taken a back seat to some black Buick I just bought in July. But it is not neglected.

The Biggie oil filter adapter is now on.
