At what HP level is a billet output shaft recommended for our 200 transmissions?

Right after grenading your first transmision!?....j/k!
I'm not an expert, but I would suggest 400whp. if for nothing else than for longevity. After lunching two transmissions, it starts to get expensive. Have a e/a stg III now.

Ok since 1986 we have broken just about every part in a 200 EXCEPT for an output shaft. Only broke 1 input shaft on a Limited T with low mileage on it. High 11 sec stock car. SOOOOO I wouldn't use one till we broke one.

Thanks for the info guys. I have the car setup to run 7.1 in the Sportsman Class. I'm moving up a class in the spring and will be running 6.9x. I leave off the footbrake...and if Dan hasn't broken one...then I should be fine. Once again guys...thanks.

If I planned on running consistent sub .1.4 sixty times with a 3500lb car I'd do it. If you have less than 800hp it's a waste

Seen Quite a few twisted only 2 Broken. Transbrake cars tend to twist the shaft when Yoke is removed you cant re-install. Not sure what power level they are needed but I would guess car with 60ft in the low 1.4s or quicker.
