I am going to ask people to please read through the entire thread before posting questions. Having to repeat points over and over just adds to the length and the confusion.
Guys, if you haven't seen this, It may come as a shock to a lot of people. This is how much a belt tensioner really does move on a hard running engine. I think a lot of people think the tensioner moves just a little bit - but when you really put your foot into an engine - the tensioner really does work like hell to keep that belt on the pulleys. I think a new one like Steve is getting made up is probably going to be superior to even a NOS tensioner that is 25 years old.
