So, where do I find out what the definitions in chip programming mean? What's a bin? what's this mean $ ? What do the numbers represent? :confused:

For starters over at GNTtype in the tech area they have an article about what's in the .bin..

The GN ecm has two sections of code, one is hard wired into the ecm, and then the prom which is replaceable. All the tuning information, and a fair bit of code is in the prom. This code, and tuning information, is listed in what's called a binary format, hence the abbreviation .bin. Once you read thur the referred to article, it will beging to make more sense.
