bought these black gta 4 fronts for $160. I put them on my t-type and they rub on one side in the front. what do you think the cause is?

Where do they rub? When the wheel is cut all the way? Is the rim rubbing on the upper control arm when the wheel is cut all the way or is the tire rubbing on the back side of the wheel well housing? What size tire? Do you have the stock front suspension?

the inside wheel well rubs and its all the way around it looks kinda like its rubbing the tie rod arm or pitman arm or what ever its called. I have a stock front suspension and it has 150k mile on it!

Sounds like it's shot. Too much slop in the control arms and balljoints.

Rebuild the front end and get it aligned. 150K is way past due.

Something does not sound right here. I have the same setup and nothing hits anything up front when I turn or drive straight. I had four front on my car. And the backs required a spacer because they sat too far in the wheel well. But I sent my 2 fronts to Brain at G bodyparts and he widened it to 10" for me. So I no longer require a spacer because now it is the correct back spacing, and I have a 16 x 11.5" MT ET Streets on the back that almost make the car look like it has a miniture tub but nothing has been altered to my stock wheel wells.

i have 4 GTA fronts with 245/50 tires on my T type, and the only rubbing i get is a little bit of a rub at the rear of the fronts (does that make sense?) at full lock. it barely touches the plastic inner wheelwell just enough to make noise. i have almost an inch of clearance around the balljoints and upper control arms at the closest points.
when i had 2 rears on the front, however, i had to run a 5/16" spacer and do a little "surgery" on the tierods with the angle grinder, and the tire would hit the upper contol arm at full drop to the point that i couldn't spin the wheel with the car on jackstands.
