Black smoke!

So i got some 36lb injectors of ebay... i drive the car around a bit and then i run out of gas (my gauge isnt working) as i idel/coast it back home from down the block i start geting knocking n pop's out of the engine, im kinda used to it since the previous owner was runing the car with 20lbs out of the regulator. but i fixed it after i got the injectors. thing is that i think i heard metal shake in one of those knocks. and now i have ALOT of smoke coming out of the tail pipes. i get a code 45 and a code 34. so i figure its the MAF. what do you guys think? should i jsut get a new one? is there a way of testing it?

45 is rich exhaust and 34 is MAF...Did you get a new chip when you got the new injectors ? Black smoke is fuel..Try unplugging MAF and see if it runs better ?

well the car came with an after market chip, i dont know anything about it other than its for 93oct i think its a hyper tech chip. I took it out a long time ago to see what kind it was. Do you think i should replace it? i kinda figured it was a stock spec chip since the car didnt have any reall mods other than a longer biger intake (its an 84) and an acufab regulator. 33lbs isnt much diferent from stock so i thought this chip would be fine. but il disconect the MAf today and see what happens

alright, i disconected the MAF and let it run for bout 10- 15 min till it reached 160* at first there was alot of condesation and sooth coming out of the exhaus and i guess alitle bit of black smoke but nothing compared to lastnight. Then after 15 min there was still alitle bit of condesation. the engine light was still on ( i figure its from the MAF bein disconected). Is it safe to say that i should get a new MAF?
