Blow off valve. Do I need one?

Hi guys, I have had my car for a few years now and have allways wondered if it was nessasary to have a blow off valve. I run 25 lbs of boost at around 11.50 in the quarter. Should I install one? were should it be (after intercooler or in the air intake after MAF)? Any recomandations? Pics of your set up would be great.

There's a ton of posts like yours Dan so do yourself a favor and do some searching. I will tell you that you're about to start a mess though.

Charlie it won't be too messy. I'm going to put a BOV on mine this winter. Going with a updated turbo and I don't want it to sneeze alot.

no mess no fuss. would you like extra insurance with that turbo sir? it's optional is the only answer. if you've messed with all kinds of turbo cars...you know the answer.
