Got my 84 home yesterday, got it in the garage, changed the oil, spark plugs, spark plug wires, and fixed some light issues.

I started it up and its burning up oil right from the start. The guy i bought the car from said the car has been sitting off and on for a couple of years and said the seals are probably bad on the turbo.

I think he might be right, but what do you guys think?

Might need to dig a little deeper man. Might be the turbo but just need to investigate it alittle bit more.

Mine did the same thing, Then it just got worse I picked up a low mile used one and swaped them out. Turns out it was the turbo. I would check the used / parts wanted section for a good used one. It is alot less then having yours rebuilt 99% of the time. Intercooled 88's has a few I think and I got mine from Drew (Broke1) he had an extra one or two at the time.

No problem  good luck! If you can find a TA33 (harder to get then stock) that is about all you can step up but will get you some more power :D
