Blown headgasket caused by Valve Springs?

I had a blown head gasket. Took valve cover off and found small pieces of plastic on top of the heads. Lots of broken inner valve springs. What could cause all this carnage?

When the inners broke , the broken pieces took out the seals. Recheck your valve train. You have some big issues. 220 roller with a 1.65 rocker..whats the total lift on that combo ?

Wish I knew. How do I find that out?

Where did you dissapear to after it broke? Just wondering cause i didnt see you after it blew the headgasket?

The car seemed to run fine before the big leak, wonder how long the inner springs were bad before you popped the head gasket?

Was the car low on MPH, i forget... Did you over rev the motor before it blew?

Hey Brian.,

I left to go find a shower. When I go to the hotel they told me I could stay there with my trailer. So I drove around to try and find a room. No rooms anywhere. I went to the tech session then drove home.

No idea how long the inner have been broken. My MPH was low, 11.8 @ 110. Only picked up 17MPH in the last 1/8. No never over revved the engine that I know.
