I just put a new (presumeably) turbo on my car today and i started it up and drove it up the street to show a friend and while sitting there idling, blue smoke or oil burning was coming out of the exh. could this be the turbo or is it possibly the rings or valve guides? the motor is fairly new and never noticed the smoke before the turbo was removed. by the way the old turbo and new one are the same t-66. thanks for any help.

sounds like the exhaust seal on the turbo, sometimes they seal themselves up, if it doesn't the it will continue to smoke.
