I felt bad throwing it out but it was a dead player. Maybe I should have kept it and made it into a lamp or something.

Lamp would have been cool. Or a door stop. I know those parts are junk, but still hard to throw away due to what they cost.
Case in point, and I know this is sad... but I still haven't thrown out that block from the race car. Even though the whole pan rail is broken off, and some pieces are missing, etc. I will throw it out some time...

Turn it over and it could be a really cool coffee table base if you put a thick a glass top on it......
