BMW Car owner screwed by dealership

If he hadn't been such an eloquent storyteller, there is no way I would have made it through that long story. That made me very nervous...you think when you take your car to the shop (especially a dealership for your specific make) that all is well. If it had been me there would have been another chapter in the story...the one where I find that kid who wrecked my car and batter him unrecognizable.
Obviously this is an extreme situation---the dealership i have dealt with since buying mine has been INCREDIBLE---they do whatever you want ---no questions--no fuss.This one sounds like the owner of the dealership is trying to weasel out--very sad.

Viper
Hi all,
I heard a similar story about a Viper. Kid wrecked at a dealership it and they guy stuck to his guns and DID manage to get a new Viper.
I am sure you guys know, the car would never have been the same, especially with the broken welds.

They are lucky (or maybe I am) that it wasnt me because for sure there would be a trail of blood as my short hot Sicilian temper definitely would have gotten the best of me....

I believe that all dealers are scumbags - it just takes the right set of circumstances for the scumbagness to reveal itself. If you simply bring the car in, bend over and go away they're fine. As soon as there's even a hint of a problem the bad side shows.
I'm glad to see that this guy didn't get away with it. It's very rare you can squeeze anything out of them.
