Who offers a complete kit of Body Bushings for our cars & what should I look for in a kit? Do they come with bushings & hardware or just the bushings?

Is there a Vendor that I should support vs. say Summit? I believe that I would like to use some black urethane bushings vs. rubber.

How difficult of a job is this? Any links to any threads that discuss this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

hello; I believe I got the ones Cottons sell and there not rubber. But be prepared that depending the condition of your car the work needed to install. My TB being in Mass. all it's life is not the best or the worst in condition. Cotton had to weld in big washers to take place on missing body to give the bushing something solid to sit on. I did install the ones that I could and it wasn't bad of a job.
have fun

If looking for stock then Kribans has them you might want to ask Brian at Gbody parts too.

Aftermarket are of course energy suspension but they are a bit harsher

I agree with these guys. I had the energy susp. on my last car and I would get a punch in the kidneys everytime I hit a hole or bump.

hello; There's nothing like working on a newer car where bolts are not rusted or just plan crap happens. These TB are not that so be ready and a fat wallet will help. Don't let that stop you so be ready and don't let what I've said effect you but I'm just letting you know how it went down with me.

After reading up on this subject, I've almost talked myself out of it. My car is real straight right now with good alignment of the body gaps, etc. I'd hate to mess that up.

I need to replace the body bushings on my 71 GTO, I know they are pretty bad. My Buick bushings still look pretty good.
