So just trying to get a plan ready...I am working on a getting rear quarters and a floor from donor regals...
Not sure what steps I should take first. A boss of mine who gets into custom body work sugested to me that i straighten out any body mounts and brace with threaded rod/turnbuckles in an x pattern across doors A to B pillar and even from pass side to driver..
Does this seem excessive or at all neccasery?
This is based on cutting the entire floor out...assuming a good donor can be found..
Also apply this same question to full quarter removal.Should anything be braced in this instance? I am starting to wonder if doors should be put on and lined up prior to quarter removal?

Thanks

When cutting any structural pieces out of the body shell---i.e. the floor, roof, and/or the quarters bracing as much as you can is not excessive...it's pretty much mandatory. Do what the body man says and brace as much as possible. You'll be glad you did.

the more I think about this it would have to be done in a way so that it wouldnt be in th eway of doing the job
