When Barry Bonds was in the news about steroid use the media was all over it take it he was the only one. But now Boy Wonders FAT A$$ been sticking his hand in the cookie jar everyone is trying to keep their mouth closed about it , I get so tried of when Blacks get accussed of something their the worst thing in the world, but when you got someone white right alone with the doing the same thing they are still innocent and pure, If Bonds a scumbag or a$$ hole for doing it Roger Clements is to , he's not worth no 28million for 4months no way the Yankees need to run that fat a$$ hillbilly back to TEXAS

The reson why the baseball world was so against Bonds is not just the fact that he cheated but its also the fact that he is an @sshole to the media. Race has nothing to do with it. People in Texas generally love Clemens because of all the good things he does and all the commercials and appearances in that area. So in the big picture Clemens is worth anything people would want to pay him. I dont see how that is in any way relevant to the steroid issue. Any fan of baseball does not see a player as white, hispanic, black etc. Instead we see the player as an instrument to help our team win. The fans in San Francisco love ur mutant freak, and cheered like morons when he hit all those steroid and HGH induced homeruns. So they are a perfect example of liking someone because they help ur interest. Hank Aaron is still my homerun champion. Oh thats right, hes Black right?

Also factor in that Bonds had actually failed a drug test, or actually a few if you count amphedamines....Then tried to say he had no idea he was on performance enhancing drugs...Hmmm, I think if my foot size and head size increased dramatically, not to mention my homerun output, I'd think it's something more than my wheaties!!!! Fair or not until someone can come up with something more than testimony of a guy who is trying to cop a plea bargain, they really don't have anything on anyone on the list except hearsay. To try to say it is race related is complete BS, look at how Sean Merriman, and Rodney Harrison screwed the pooch with failed tests. They had integrity and took their suspension and fine, then all was forgiven....:biggrin:

I dont care let the $hit hit the fan, I have followed Bonds since his days with the pirates and when he was married in a Bi-racial relationship and was a good ball player that wasn't a good mix from day one, the same for Charles Barkley when youre good and married to a White woman the media expects you to take anything and Bonds and Barkley didn't fit that mold. let me reiterate..i ment poops gonna hit the fan across the board...not this board..lol i ment in baseball... meaning they gonna start going after everyone black, white, purple, green.

But i dont get your post about who married who and what color who was who that married whome? and the effect that it had in my life>??? or the way the media portrayed it? i just dont understand the perception from this side of the fence.... so if a black guy in sports marrys a white woman then he is to have tea and crumpets at 3pm to appease the media? or is it that i should be angry that he is playing great and married outside and therefor its the medias responsibility to represent my anger? or is it that media should tell me how to react? or since they are married outside then its open season on them cuz its ok to pick on a white guy but not a black guy but since the black guy is married to a white girl then hey ..heres our angle fellas ...lets get him???... dude i could care less if he was bucking a donkey...big deal...like i said im a hockey guy and screw the media...just a bunch of 5ft tall bob costas that got body slammed back in high school anyway.

But the media can either help you or hinder you and when your high profile and as stupid as the questions tossed at you might be...like the time in oh it was basketball finals and tall lanky goof ball sport guy asked carl malone during half in the locker rooms how he felt and carl went off..lol i'll never forget it. Carl was like WHAT?! what kind of stupid Q was that etc.. i was like way to go dude but the media made it out like carl was being unprofessonal when it was a stupid question... so my point is if you act up and act out they jump you like sharks
its a no win situation but for 20 million a year you bite your tongue and smile. I just dont think that race has any bearing on it.

like the one post in here that stated Bonds act like an A-hole to the press...they got the power of the pen and they can help you..or they can hurt you or at least try their damndest.
