boost controlers

Going to add a manual boost controler on my car ; during the install do you completly do away with the wastegate selonoid or does it work with it??? Dont mean do ask dum questions but i just dont understand.

When installing a manual boost controller, the wastegate solenoid can be left there, but becomes non-functional since you adjust the boost level yourself manually.
