Quick question guys. I Have a V.O.D boost gauge that has a plastic hose that is stuffed into a rubber hose for its readings. It works fine although its ugly and incorrect. I preformed a vacuum test with a smoke machine and it is not leaking. I would like to hook it up properly. Any suggestions or images on how anybody hooked theirs up with a plastic hose like mine would be great. I don't want to change my boost gauge because it matches my other gauges. I googled the hell out of this and came up empty.

Back in ‘86 I wasn’t smart enough to know about the check valves on these cars. I wanted both vacuum and boost so I drilled and tapped the back of the plenum to connect my gauge.
I ran the white nylon tubing through some vacuum hose to hide it and protect it.

I suspect when connecting the 1/8” nylon tubing to a vacuum hose you would use a barbed fitting (with zip tie) to 1/8” pipe and connect the 1/8” compression fitting to the barbed fitting.
Maybe a little busy, but more reliable.

1/8” nylon tubing kit.

And a fitting like this. Whatever hose size you have.
