boost gauge?

ok, here i go again, i know these are stupid questions for you turbo guys, but i am new to this thing, i just bought a new auto meter boost gauge, where is the best place to tie into vacuum/ boost line? im 0 for 2 right now, i either have vacuum, or it shows boost, but not both? please help, thanks,

Just splice into the line going from the top of the dog house over to the MAP that is on the pass side fender (little black box with vac line attached and a 3-wire plug.
