Boost @ line

can anyone school me on what would keep me from building boost on the footbrake? As it passes 0 vac and starts to spool, it doesn't want to build more than 2#. Can't find vac. leaks or exh. leaks. what else do I look for?

Is this a new problem or has it always been like that? What turbo and converter are you running? Which chip & injectors. If you are running rich, it will hurt spool up. Also, the hotter it is outside the worse my spool up becomes.

ta49 w/orange stripe converter. runs some rich but mostly on alcy. don't know about past, never tried to brake/boost till I got the car back on the road this spring. 37# delphi's. runs sweet about 2-3 secs. after launch.

Sounds a little rich.

I would think it's rich or the alky is turning on too early, or your header crack is worse than you think, or your wastegate puck is not quite sealing.

No header crack, alky comes on at 8#, fuel is .88 on OTC 4000E which is about .78 on scanmaster. Elbow was ported last winter and puck checked. All OK. Keep the ideas comming. Thanx!!!

What kind of MAF? I ran into a similar problem this spring after installing a new turbo, injectors, etc. After replacing too many parts we figured that the MAF was reading too low.
