Boost on a 1978 turbo regal with 4 bbl?

For curiousity's sake I'm interested in how much boost the 1978 Turbo Regal ran with the 4 bbl. Curious because I'm interested in a very cheap turbo setup for my Miata (no not putting a turbo from a regal on it) and basically the cheap one is not intercooled, runs at 5 to 6 psi and i'd have to buy a knock sensor for it. My question is, the turbo regal we had lasted 109,000 miles without intercooling or anything fancy, so how much boost was that running without intercooling and all that fun stuff? Thanks for any info. Odd question I know. I'm just trying to justify a turbo without an intercooler (for costs sake).

It all depends on the setup. I'm running 22 # no-intercooler , C16 fuel @ 27° timing.

But The turbo is bigger than stock. On my old setup I was running 17-18 # and running low to mid 14's (on C16 and 27 ° timing.

Stock setting is around the 9# mark .

78's were set at 8-10 psi from the factory.
