This is gonna get interesting.....When will the swap be completed?

Scott Wile

Three or four weeks. I need to upgrade the fuel pump and fuel nozzles too.

I just get things dialed in and I go and do this. Ahhh, it get's too boring when a combination plateaus. The experiment continues. How far will this 'little engine that could' go?

I think its amazing DON you are really taking the next jump! I am proud your here on the WESTCOAST! I just got my baby running, need to install a few things, and learn the ropes with FAST but I can't wait to race with you at the track!!!! Man FAST is sure nice though, and definitly pays for itself with the amound of tuning you can do on it.

I have to agree with JZ, your motor could spool anything w/no problem. I also agree a TRZ bar would work well, try the double! Or get the wolf race craft double bar weld in, #BWOL102. I can't wait to see your NEW DREAM come true! You have to keep everyone updated. ROCK IT.

Don just an FYI, the 91X made 1481rwhp/1003rwtq on a 3.4L 2Jz @ 47psi boost only. That should give you an indication of what it will do. Of course a 2JZ is a weird animal since its able make some great #'s due to running very high PR's and has a 4 valve head. I am estimating a Buick should make somewhere in the range of 1200-1250 with a lower PR and auto tranny sucking HP, but the turbo still has more room to go.

OMG 47 psi!
I'm curious Jose, how do the three compare in price
GT4788, 88x, and 91x?

What are the compressor and exhaust wheel sizes on the 91X?

One more sim question, if you could please JZ. Do you have an efficiency number, percentage wise, on the turbine housing? I assume it is divided.

All of the big units are un-divided. As for efficiency, they are around 79% on exhaust side. Flow is around 70lbs/min

Wow! That is some serious power with that 91x. I've been seriously debating going from my GT47-88mm T6 to a Fi-88x. What kind of gains are we talking between the two? I realize the 88x flows a little more lbs/min but will the gain be noticeable? Right now the car puts down right at 1150 with the GT47. Lastly, I've been looking for a dealer who sells the FI turbos. I found them on forcedinductions.com and I'm guessing thats the only dealer. Thanks and I'm subscribing to this thread for sure. :)

Hard to say without testing the units back to back on a certain setup. But by going off the comp maps the FI-88X will outflow a GT47 by a margin. The FI88X is pushing some big LSX based motors to over 14Xmph on the 1/8th without breaking a sweat yet....So more left in it.

I read about one Fi-88x unit going 144 in the 1/8th. Thats what I'm talking about! I've had another person recommend the S585 turbo. I'm trying to find a comparison of the two but it seems both turbos are so new that noone has had a chance to test them out. I'm still debating which way I want to go. I'm looking for arguements/information to sway me one way or the other. :)

S585, flows less and is physically much larger. We offer those units as well. Same goes for the S95 or what some people call the S595. Flows less then the FI-94X, spools slower and weighs a bit more as well. If you go to that size, then go with the new EZ-94X, which is the new billet bad boy.

Yes the FI-88X has gone that mph....but we let the customers post it in case they may be money street racers...lol. We have a few of them and they don't post results for a reason...lol. Thet unit has gone a string of 144+mph on a LSX.

Wow... Thats what I'm looking for right there. I limited to the size I can run due to TTT5 E/S rules, which is 88mm. 144mph in the 1/8th would dominate that class. Like I said, right now I'm running 5.4x @ 132-133 range. Competitive yes, but to win it takes low 5.30 to high 5.20. It sounds like the Fi-88x may be what I need. Is that turbo sold exclusively through forcedinductions.com? I noticed their price on that thing was $2399. My wallet is already screaming "Ouch!". :D
