My friend had a type, didnt like it so he sold it. If you can find an ATR BOV those are nice, they show up from time to time.

Everyone seems to be a fan of the HKS super sequential....

Any thoughts on the GReddy Type S? Is there anyone here who is using one?
the type is S is too small.

im runing the type R right now with the stiff spring

And the fact that its a mass-air system combined with a non-recirculating BOV doesn't make the engine run really rich and bog when you get off the throttle at all? That was my only other concern...

I think the key to that is a tight spring? The original posters car DID have some part throttle issues (backing off throttle for circular entrance ramp comes to mind) but if I recall they were mostly addressed with keeping the BOV tight.

Dont take my word for it though! Not my car and time makes things fuzzy.

No problems b/c when you let off the pedal ecm goes into deceleration fuel cutoff and doesnt add any fuel for a second or two. I have had zero problems with my bov since installation...

that is how i have mine a blow through. it takes the boost and redirects it back into the intake before the maf, so no stumble or bog. if you go to subaru dealer you will need a vin number from a wrx. i told them "its going on a buick" but they didn't care....

bov on up pipe

hose from bov to big mouth cold air intake before maf.

on a turbo buick you dont need to pipe it back into the maf.
just let it blow off into the atmosphere,

it takes the boost and redirects it back into the intake before the maf.

thats cool, but on a turbo buick there is no need to do that, with the defco function in the pcm you can vent it to the atmosphere

nice ingenuity though, I love it when I see people cross polinating applications.

I actually run a tial blow off valve on mine.

I'm not a tuner type so I can't say if this is true or not but one of th nice things about the Bypass Valve vs the BOV is that it actually equalizes the pressure on eitherside of the compressor faster being kinder to the bearings and keeping the compressor speed up more since its not fighting that extra little bit of pressure on the manifold side. Also for me its better at muffling the sound as I really hate that noise and since the car the motor is going into is a 1964, I'd rather keep the surprise for when I blow thier doors off than when I stand on the brakes at a stoplight.

Just my commentary,
