What is everybody using for a recirculating BOV? Turbo Buicks are new to me, I hope to be picking one up shortly, and I was just wondering what everybody was using.

lots of people don't use them, try a search as this has been well covered

Why don't guys use 'em? If you go without doesn't it hurt the impeller when the T/B blade closes!?

the main purpose of a blow off valve is to vent the air that bounces back to keep the turbo from stalling in between shifts on a manual transmission cars. since our cars our automatics the throttle doesn't close in between shifts so a bov isn't really necessary.

I agree with crownvic96. I don't think they are really needed on TR's. But maybe someone who has one will chime in and give their opinion.

i had a bov installed in my car and it made it run rich and like crap, i had the air cycled through the inlet pipe also, didnt work, just keep it simple.. let the horse sneeze do its work.. :)
