Boyd Tuned rims fitment response

I got this response back from the wheel shop, does it make sense??


Our standard G-body fitment is an 8" wheel with a 4.5" backspace and 245 tire. The 8" front with a 4" will push the wheel/tire out to the fender and the 9.5" rear with a 4.5" backspace will push the wheel/tire outside of the fender.

for a 9.5 in the back i would go with a 4.75" backspacing, worked well on my car and it fills the wheel well perfectly. Good luck with the wheels.
