BQ code trans?

My nephews hot air car has a trans coded "BQ". The car will not shift @ WOT. Does this trans have wrong valve body or governer for our cars? Anybody know what this is out of? Thanks for info....

BQ is the correct code for hot air GNs.

that is what it is out of, however, have you "CONFIRMED" that the Valve body and Govenor are indeed a "BQ"?

Looks like that is the next step. The tag can say anything on the case, but what has been changed inside is what matters.
