I noticed some brake fluid in the Powermaster Brake Switch. Is this normal? Not sure what this part does and how it is supposed to work. Thanks.

The pressure switch does exactly what the name implies. Is senses pressure created by the E-H motor and once the accumulator reaches a specific pressure, it shut the E-H motor off. As you pump the brakes, brae fluid pressure is bled off the accumulator and the pressure switch signal the E-H motor to turn on once a specific pressure reading is met.

Interesting you say that there is fluid IN the switch. Please elplaing this in a little more detail. The switch does sense the pressure as gofst explained, but what part of the switch is the fluid in?

The sensor part of the switch is threaded 'in' the high pressure side of the master cylinder, but it is designed to be there...so it can sense the pressure and tell the motor when to start and stop. It will have fluid 'in' it (really on it) if you remove the switch from the cylinder.

Elaborate and we may can help you more.

Usually, fluid leaks past some seal and into the electrical portion of the switch, and shorts the switch. I suspect that is what is happening to his switch.
