brake fluid level

hello people; I had a new powermaster brake (like stock) system installed last year. The car has been sitting this winter and I noticed this year the reservoir
is pretty low. There are no leaks I know there's a procedure as described somewhere to hit the pedal a number of times to ck. the level? I think that's it. Is that it? How to ck. the level that is.

just pump the brakes 10 or so times w/o engine running. fluid should return to reservoir. ck for proper level and drive...
