brake fluid resivior

my resivior (spelling?)is leaking where it connects to the master cylinder. is there a fix for the problem or does the whole thing need to be replaced?

I think they sell the separate seals for this. I don't know who carries them, but try looking around. Maybe they sell a rebuild kit somewhere?

If GM still has a MC rebuild kit, there are seals in that kit.

will that leak cause a soft pedal? it only leaks when brakes are used. doesn't leak much but it starts building up if driven often.

Yes, it's sucking in air every time you let off the brake pedal.
The air is making your pedal soft, and over time will ruin your pads and shoes.
Fix the leak, bleed your brakes and you should be good to go.
