Not sure why but after I installed new front brakes???What could cause this problem? The brakes seem to be working fine, but obviously there's something going on...Any help would be appreciated...Thanks

ps: (I have vacuum brakes)

Whenever I first drove tha car after installing the new brakes, there was no brake light on in the dash.... I noticed it flickering while I was getting into wot & then it just stayed on. I didn't bleed the brakes...I took the brake resevoir cover off & then squeezed the brake piston back far enough to get the new brake shoes in & then just replaced the resevoir cover...

Whenever I first drove tha car there was no light.... I noticed it flickering while I was getting into wot for a second or two....When I got home I pulled the parking brake to make sure it wasn't partially engaged & the light went off, but came right back on again after a few seconds...

Sounds like your proportional valve needs to be recentered.......the little button on the front of it must be held in while you bleed your brakes.....and it also sounds like you still have some air in your calipers/cylinders......bleed down the whole system again and make some type of little thingy to hold in the button on the proportional valve while bleeding......then take off the thingy, have someone open the rear brake line, and press down on your brake pedal until the brake light goes off...then shut off the rear bleeder....with the light off after this, it should be centered and the light will now stay off. Hope this helps....

Been away for a while.....problems.....want to get back with this great group very soon.....miss you all.

You're very welcome......rap those calipers and rear cylinders with a hammer while bleeding to get out trapped air.....let us know how you do....if you can't figure out how to make that hold in thingy, I'll take a picture of mine and show you how I did it....
