There was a thread on this not too long ago wish I could find it for you. Here is what I wrote down in my note book about the subject. Classic tube is the best hose but for only one reason the russle and the other brands do not have a swivel connection and there have been a few guys here that had them start to leak from getting pulled loose from the hose but with the swivel end the classic tube does not have this problem.

Hi Kev,

I've got the Russel Stainless Braided Brake Line Kits on the front and rear. Works absolutely fine. No problems here! As a bonus you'll find a slightly firmer pedal feel on a vacuum brake set up (and we all know these cars can use all the help available to slow them down quickly) .

Been on for 3 seasons and about 10,000 kms of trouble free use.

I'd have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone based on my personal experiences.

Happy Motoring! :)

The fittings start to rust in about 5 years on a daily driver.

I think only the braid in the hose is stainless, doubt the fittings are.

I'm sure the garage queens and brake line luber/polishers will have a lot longer without any rust, even those with a garage probably will. :)

Speaking about the Russell ones, they work a lot better than 18 year old rusty and rotted stockers however.

I got a kit that included 2 front 1 rear.

Tha was 8 years ago.

Been perfect, no problems at all.
