I need to get my self a double flaring tool to do some brake line work. Are the stock lines standard/english or metric? I know stupid question I think they are 3/16 OD. Any recommendations on what kind of double flaring tool is good for these brake lines?

thanks,
Matt

I'm not one for buying expensive tools, so the only flaring tool I'm familiar with is the device to hold the line in place along with another device that screws down on the end of the line to flare it. A double flaring tool has more accessories for completing the double flare on 3/16", 1/4", 5/16" steel or copper line. I bought one of these double flaring tool sets at a Harbor Freight store and have used it successfully. They cost around $10.
